Which jack/axle stands?

Has anyone got any recommendations? The factory jack looks like a death trap![/code]

Mercedes sprinter jack is a popular choice. It's a double piston so it has the height range for these cars. Axle stands - take your pick. The included jack is indeed a death trap. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Axle stabds

Bought these for use with L322 in 2014. Paid £30 for them then. They’re very good and are up to the RR DIY jobs. Very safety conscious and used them on L322, L405 and lighter cars with no worries or issues.

Only ever used RR jack from L322 and L405 on flat/ level concrete garage floor and never had any issues so wouldn’t be too worried about using one on a level, solid roadside to change a wheel, although would always use wheel chalks and would never work on a RR supported by just that jack… nor would I work on a RR supported by just the Mercedes’ sprinter bottle jack (also have one of them and it’s very good)…

If you’re looking for a trolley jack then take a look here… https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic59739.html

I’m happy with my sgs trolly jack and axle stand deal that was offered at the time. Just make sure you check the jack heights, as I chose the jack I wanted, found the kit which included axle stands at a good price… but didn’t notice the jack offered had a lower height! Big Cry

If I could rewind I’d re-order but with the jack I intended to get. Oh well we Live and learn! Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

I use the supplied jack all the time to jack mine when changing wheels or maintaining brakes. There shouldn't be anything wrong with it. In fact it is quick, fits well in the lifting points, and goes nice and high.

If I do more than just a wheel/tyres change then I'll pop axle stands underneath for extra safety and support.
