That's not good, I'd get quotes for the welding before anything else, make sure it's worthwhile, to do it properly is an awful lot of work...... Pete

I would agree with Haylands - get a quote for the welding before you do anything else. |

One thing that bugs me is this. What's peoples opinions on using these parts. Going by the top one given 411 people have bought these, are they recommended or just an easy "pass an mot" setup.

At these prices I just look at them as a service item. I reckon that they are probably all made in the same factory anyhow. L322 3.6 TDV8 Vogue. 07MY

If you’re thinking of keeping it for the long term then I guess doing both sides makes sense as it’ll likely not need doing again.

The rear corrosion is it jus the rear subframe? If so can you get a used one form a newer car? This is a real weak point in these I looked at a good 5 or 6 of similar ages before I found my 07 most of them looked like they’d been parked in salt water with dodgy mots Current stable:
