I can only speak of earlier cars however it's possibly the same on the 2010/2012 cars. The final stage resistor can cause the fan to act erratically including not at all. See the video in the link, ignore the left side steering wheel, its in the same place for the RHD. 2007 TDV8 VSE

My advice would be to make sure you exhaust every alternative before undertaking fan replacement.

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately its not great news, on the 2012 there is no mention in the handbook or any of the fuse boards for the front blower fan fuse or relay which is dammed annoying i pulled all the fuses for the rear and everything is ok, so i got a new genuine FSR and swapped it, and still nothing im now looking at replacing the fan but before i do can anyone confirm how easily the fan spins by hand on a known working model, or anything else i need to look for before stripping out the dash 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

If I’m not mistaken the front fuse board for 2002 to 2012 cars are the same ( ? ) in which case you need to look at Fuse 34 7.5A. It’s marked Airconditioning, Blower. Front windscreen.

To simplify matters just check every 5A and 7.5A fuse on the front fuse board, there aren’t that many. |
