Anyone on here any good at the “how many left on the road “ questions. An assertion from a mechanic acquaintance of mine suggested that he’s seeing quite a few L322’s being put back on the road that have been SORN’d for years due to market prices making it economically sound to repair them and sell them.

It kind of makes sense but I’d have thought L322’s are in normal terms heading towards the bottom of the depreciation curve which means numbers are dropping away at an annual rate. Now I’m not great at these websites, but I think it’s an interesting thought that either they are dying off at a rate per year or that there is a blip which shows them being put back on the road.

I read a post on FB that was discussing scrap values of an L322 previously being £1k but now £2k.
On these L322s people with issues will be inevitably be faced with a repair bill and then simple repair or scrap maths apply.
So I think if £2k is now a bottom price (depending on issues, running, MOT etc etc) then you could think what you heard is true.

99k miles now, and most of the standard gremlins have occurred and been fixed
Engine just about run in now, so looking forward to the next 99k miles
Or until ULEZ pricing makes big old diesels uneconomic to run ....

If I read correctly there are twice as many TD6 versions on the road compared to the 4.4 TDV8’s?

been watching l322 values, over last couple years, the virus seemed to be a wobble point, and they picked up... then the price of scrap catalysts gave them a boost too. -im told £800 a pair of early v8 cats?? there awe 300,000 l322's built, and there are already 600,000 Evoques... so the evoques, at the same year of l322, should be cheaper.... right?... well, they aren't going down in value......you can buy a decent vogue, for evoque prices, year on year.. is it a bit of 'Defender hyper inflation value' crossover?
