In shop and online Aldi special buys torque wrench 1/2drive 17, 19, 22mm sockets extension. 50-210nM I think.

Had these in the past. Do the job for mediocre stuff but if you try torquing your wheel nuts up don't hold up in breathe on it surviving

Fair enough Bean, if it won't hold up at 140 it may be of questonable value.

Anyone else had one? Cheers

I've got one of these, I only use it for wheel nuts, seems to work fine. Geoff

looks like 65 - 210 Nm if you zoom in on the box.

Bit of a bargain there. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

I tested one of these a while ago on a calibration device, it was quite a way out. The opinion of it's seems good for the money is a strange angle, a measuring instrument needs to be accurate or whats the point? Fine for general tools but measuring device needs to be accurate for all sorts of reasons. Stick to the branded makes - Norbar, Britool, Snapon etc, £20 torque wrench is pointless, save your money. BMW i3 Electric Car

What exactly does 'quite a way out' mean? We are not landing on the moon but appreciate we need some level of accuracy.

Might be good for the lawnmower at that price but not a space shuttle (or a FF).

Most tools at that price are made of butter anyway. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

The odd thing was it varied across the range, it wasnt consistent. From memory it was 10 to 15% out at the extremes. BMW i3 Electric Car

The perfect tool? Who knows… Had one of these since 2014… excellent value for money… never let me down with the L322 or L405 or any other car and happy to have it… Does a job and feels decent DIY quality… if it wasn’t safe it wouldn’t have been on sale for so many years👍🏻

In the past I just couldn't get on with my torque wrench.
But in the end we just clicked

That's the one I've got now. Does the job pretty well but also starts 30nm earlier.

Just been in the garage for something and just noticed my Torque Wrench is a Siverline not Aldi. Easy mistake to make as all those sub 30 quid Torgue Wrenches look similar but it's been fine for tightening my nuts up - Embarassed Embarassed Geoff

I bought this 3/8 drive because it is the low torque things that I tend to overtighten .
You have to be very careful with threads in aluminium and it prevents any stripping, but obviously not much use with the really tight stuff. 10 - 80 Nm
