I know theres a few similar threads on here which I have read but still can't decide.

She wants another FF to replace her current BMW. We had a 58 reg L322 in 2013 which was ok but upgraded to a very nice 2011 4.4 in 2015. A house project meant we had to let it go and it sold for £26k with 60k on it.

To get a car similar to that last one it looks like I've got to pay £22k ish which isn't much difference to the one I sold 6 yrs ago.
Want to buy a lower mileage (sub 70k) wherever poss.

My dilemma is do i push the budget to an early L405? 2013 with sub 80k on the clock is about as far as I can stretch it. Seen an odd one for £26k to £28k.

Having never sat in an L405, is it a big jump in terms of what I'd be getting? I guess a bit like going from a Disco 4 to Disco 5, a transition I've also made.

Is the TDV8 in the L405 the same lump as the L322 or is it a newer engine?

Not really interested in the 6 cylinder L405 as I want a V8 in a FF. Plus, they don't seem any cheaper.

Any views or arguments appreciated.
