Hi all,

I picked up an L405 4.4 SDV8 a month or so ago and recently got the restricted performance warning on the dash, a quick scan with my IID tool showed no engine faults but a fault under HVAC for B12A6-13 (2 Auxiliary heater water pump - general electrical failure - circuit open.

The car runs and drives fine once the code is cleared but I'd rather get it resolved, however there seems to be very little info on the pump on the SDV8 vs the pump on the older L322.

Anyone had this fault before and did replacing the pump actually resolve it?

It’s not the same unit as the 322. The Webasto unit was replaced with an erbspacher one. There is much less on them as they seem to go wrong less…..

If you download the WM from the wiki there is no doubt some info in there. It shouldn’t affect the car too much as it’s only the preheat and cabin warming that will be affected. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thank you, I did some digging via Topix and managed to find some info on replacement etc so have ordered a replacement pump (LR039070) for around £140. I've checked all the electrical connections and they seem find so pump is the next step. 2013 FFRR Vogue SE

Did replacing the pump solve the problem? I have the same fault code and no working timed climate!!

I assume your fbh wasn’t working due to the faulty pump? Also, was it a fairly straightforward job to replace?
