I'm new to this forum. I've been in the www.rangerovers.net group for a bit. I'm the 3rd/4th owner of a 2012 RR SC and I just can't say enough about the vehicle. The original owner was in Hilton Head and the dealer did all the maintenance to include tires.
The subsequent owners seemed to ignore things and the price was very reasonable. The adventure started with new brakes, rotors, air struts for the hood and rear along with new air springs. I started with a pair of ARNOTT, but those lasted a few weeks (very unhappy) and I bit the bullet and bought Bilstein all around.
This is a replacement for a Chevy Avalanche and I'd grown use to the bed to haul an assortment of items for home refurbishment. I don't need to transport large items as often now, but found the roof rack lacked a secure method to tie things down. I fired up the Fusion360, drew some tie downs, and printed with ABS on a 3d printer. They've been in use for a few years and I'm happy to share https://a360.co/2FgjLP0 (GNU license) to the community.
Today's adventure is a small oil leak in the rear of the engine and suspension. Error codes... SIGH The original owner was the founder of a food chain, but that's not me! You can't own a RR without a gap-diagnostic tool! What was an occasional error now occurs repeatedly and a new compressor is due to be delivered in a few days.
