Swapping CD changer for another device

Tried searching but didn't see anything - has anyone swapped out the CD changer for another device to provide more media functions like USB, hard drive and perhaps even Bluetooth, instead of relying on the Bovee?
..i know its possible in other vehicles with various different devices, wondered if anyone had done it with the Rangerover.

It's the 2010-2012 model, btw. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

I'd like to remove the unit entirely so I have some more interior storage. Have the Bovee 1000 in mine and run everything I need through that via my mobile - satnav, radio, music. Only use the built in system for car info and reverse camera. The only worthwhile systems I've seen are ones that replace the whole center screen with a new system but it's expensive. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Is the USB and iPod connections no good for your needs?

Though as above, there are other options but pretty expensive.

There is one that I think adds Apple car play etc, to the factory system, but read it’s not that simple to install.

I bought a unit for my Audi that ports the mobile phone screen to the Audi display to use with Carplay. It was a way of circumventing the law that says even touching you mobile when in the car will land you a fine and a lot of points but if you are using the cars in-car touch screen to do the same action it's perfectly legal Rolling Eyes
Never got round to fitting it in the end as it involved too much work. You can get them for about £150 from China or for £100 more in the UK. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Yeah, they're fine - just exploring possible options really - would be good to combine it all instead of needing to use USB and the Bovee. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

For audio files - using separate devices instead of just the one. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - 'Black Betty'

I have my MP3's on my phone so play them from there as it's a fast interface. I think accessing them via the LR interface on a USB stick can be a bit slow? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

😱 I only listen to CD’s…. Probably as I have a daft expensive LINN hifi in the house that doesn’t play anything else.

I know some cars don’t have them now. Don’t know what I will do then… 🤣
