I noticed a check engine light on my 4.4 SDV8 and picked up a cheap reader to determine what this was before booking in for a more involved dealer assessment.

If there any way to determine if this is a common issue perhaps related to the DPF or fuel related (as many searches on google have suggested poor non-premium fuel and short drives could cause this) or just a failure with the sensor itself?

Is this sensor located in an accessible location and worse case if it needed replaced (assuming its the culprit) how many hours labor would this involve?

Appreciate any help guys - when reset this code comes back within minutes and even after a longer drive + fuel additives (DPF Regeneration fluid) same.

2016 SDV8 4.4 Vogue L405, black - standard with 85k on her - no other issues.
