Now I want a Mercedes 6.3 AMG

Was at a Partner conference this week for work and one of the jollies we got to do was going to Mercedes Benz World at Brooklands.

Part of the package was getting behind the wheel of some fancy cars and doing some track work, skid pan, etc.

I was in a blood red E63 AMG saloon and MY GOD the noise almost made me have an on the spot crisis Shocked

It was SUCH a good car to drive round the track at speed, and I quickly feel back into my M5 driving mode, I thraped that car and had a ball.

Now of course, I want one. I can't realistically have one as even though the estate version could fit the dog in, it can't go offroad.

Please don't suggest the ML 65 AMG!..... Whistle I am such a sucker for a throaty V8 noise

If we could have a 3rd car, I think a 2nd hand C63 AMG or a Maserati Gran Turismo would be a lovely addition to the family Thumbs Up Discovery 4 HSE

Audi don't have the fun factor IMO.
Steering is too artificial and overall it's too clinical as a fast road car.

Yup, I used to run an E55 AMG Estate. 2003 vintage but one hell of a car. Real blown V8 performance and a practical estate car to go with it.

Don't think I'd go back to the land of silver though. The XFR is more appealing right now.

You're right, it would.

I'd love a Gran Tourismo. Sadly, it'll be a few years before I could get my hands on one Crying or Very sad 2006 Mercedes CLS

Wait.......the new BMW M5 will be along shortly with a V8 twin turbo. BMW's have always been more exciting to drive than the Mercs.
I did the Mercedes World day last year and I agree, the AMG sounds fantastic....but I'd still have a BMW having owned both. Current MY2020
