Hi,

I've had my rear hub rose joint bushes changed yesterday,
but have been advised that the knuckles are worn so the bushes
are a sloppy fit.

My question is are all the rear hub knuckles the same on all the L322 model ranges?
I have a 2005 td6 but would I be able to fit a knuckle/hub from a 2010 4.4 for instance??

May be worth talking to one of the site sponsors, plus the advanced factors site has some handy drawings showing part numbers for various models, that may help you, a quick look shows similarities,

I've never heard of a worn knuckle causing new bushes to be loose & they are all the same !
The bushes are static in the knuckle - a reasonably fit that will not change as the inside of the bush wears.

Far more likely is that some very cheap aftermarket bushes are not made to the correct dimensions & therefore are a loose fit.

Apparently the following applies

RLH000082/92. 2002-2009

LR39924/25. 2010-2012. Chassis number. AA000001 onwards.

This is model year change not date of registration.

Thanks for all the advise, the garage will removing
the aftermarket bushes and fitting genuine bushes on Monday.

We will see if they make a difference?

I did mine a few weeks ago…. And then did them again the day after, this time using genuine parts, as the first attempt by using non-genuine rose joints ended up with them moving as Ben84 describes. I thought the first attempt went in too easily……

Before fitting new ones to my new front knuckles, I put the new ball joints in the freezer over night. They were still a good interference fit and took a while to bolt them in, but made fitting slightly easier.

Fingers crossed the genuine bushes will sort my
problem.
The garage had quoted me a price and obviously
tried to make themselves even more profit by using cheaper
aftermarket bushes.

Having recently done this job on My TD6 I cannot see how the new bush if correct can be loose in the hub carrier. They are a press fit needing a serious bush press to get them out and back in and are retained with a meaty circlip. Any wear on the old bushes would not affect the carrier bore as it would be inside the outer sleeve.
