Restricted Performance - Again!

Hi
My 2013 L405 V8 SE diesel 2013 120kmiles developed our favourite message yesterday. Twice.
Both while on the motorway plodding along around 80.
I assumed it would be the turbo hose blowing off again which it has done before, but no, and nothing obvious.
Turned off, lock/unlock doors, worked fine for 60 miles then same again. Something weird on both occasions though was the engine took about 5-10 seconds to stop after pressing the start stop dash button.
Car is serviced regularly, new battery fitted in January this Year.

Any suggestions please chaps??

Many thanks

Neil.

Unnecessary quote removed

Hi Neil, I had something similar on my RR and this turnout to be a software update that needed to be done. I had already replaced the battery and had various other things looked at with smoke tests etc. Hope you get it sorted. 2019 Autobiography SDV8 Byron blue/black - current
2016 Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black/Ivory - sold

Thanks for the tips guys.

I seem to have sorted it, I searched on this amazing forum and found loads of advice re MAFs/MAPs blah blah and quelle surprise, the sensors and butterfly chamber (?) were caked with oily sooty nastiness which with some brake cleaner and paper towels did the trick.
160 miles yesterday and AOK! Very Happy
Think I will remove all that pipework when I have a mo and clean everything properly as im sure the problem will return at some point.

Also this software update sounds like a good idea, does anyone know how to work out what version im currently running?

Many many thanks.

Neil.

Would need plugging in I'd have thought to the correct system. Any decent LR independent will have access the same as a main stealer. Avoid main stealers Censored Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

I spoke too soon, fault has reappeared but ive tracked it down (I hope) to a split in one of the four short rubber hoses that go into the doughnut.
Are these able to be swapped out easily in situ or does it involve unbolting loads of parts ie the doughnut and replacing gaskets etc??

Thanks for any pointers!
