Canada 2008 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Stornoway Grey
Mystery part on ceiling in cargo area

Greetings, getting Harriet RR ready for another Canadian winter and replacing broken bits with parts from an auto recycler. One part that I want to replace is located on the ceiling halfway from the rear seat headrests and the back window on both sides of the RR. A plastic hatch opens with two joined holes is the best way to describe it, One of the hatches has broken off. I do not have a clue what it is for ? Any ideas would be appreciated, Thank you in advance [ sorry no photos]

Needs a photo really....

It sounds like it may be some sort of mounting for a dog guard. Earlier models came with something similar for a roller type divider, but think that had been discontinued by 2008

Yes, I agree with the above. May have some nearer the front too, so you can still use the roller blind when the rear seats are folded forwards.

This is what the retractable net mounts look like. Even if not one of those, my bet would still be some sort of dog guard / divider
