Just managed to get my wife's car refueled after 2 days with no fuel anywhere in the area . Typically my wife usually has around 10 miles range in her car at most times (RR evoque) and when she came home from work after Thursday night the panic buying had already started so she was unable to fill up

It’s crackers, I’ve seen pictures on Instagram of folks filling a dozen green jerry cans, and one chap filling an IBC on a trailer with diesel…… which unless he has a license to store it is illegal.

Is it legal to stockpile turkeys in a domestic freezer for resale? 🤔😜🤣 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Stupid in Winchester, no petrol anywhere. Just syphoned 25 litres out of my MG and wife's Audi TT (currently broken, ironically with a fuel problem!) which should keep us on the move locally until this silliness is over. .

Panic buying is ridiculous, the media actually fuels it.

As my complete household are all isolating due to catching the covid lurgy, we currently do not need diesel and will not need any for another 7 days at least.

Problem is it’s not just the BBC. The rumours start on social media ( is it? Something like that) which lazy journos follow to see what’s trending and therefore what the next big story is. Pitiful really, but that’s how it seems to be now. These platforms are no more than a few numpties talking amongst themselves, a bit like the group you always ignored when you were in the pub because they just spoke b0ll0x. |

I think I will wait to fill up, wouldn’t like to be pumping the bottom of the barrel into my baby. I’m sure they don’t allow them to run dry, I hope. |
