Thanks Alistair i read those which was helpfull, i can get a discount on a pair of genuine Brembo discs which is way below buying them in a landrover box if its the same discs and was tyring to find out if the front discs which are fitted with the Brembo calipers from the factory are supplied by Brembo to Land Rover .

The grey area is that Brembo don’t manufacture discs so, the Brembo name can be used (and it would seem is unregulated) as many brands make parts for cars “equipt with Brembo” so other manufacturers can use the Brembo logo on their packaging… Euro crap parts sell tonnes of Chinese made tat in Brembo boxes! So BEWARE! |

Of course Brembo make discs (in more than one location), as original equipment manufacturers and for the aftermarket. They are also very protective of, and do not license, their brand name (which is clearly not the same thing as a company selling something itself, under its own brand name, which is made to their specifications by a third party). As for China, the vast majority of brake discs are cast there (including OE stuff). Reality is that the simplest way to get the best thing is to pay the premium and buy original parts (which, as you know, might not always be from the same manufacturer). |

I was going to say the same as in the above post, Brembo have made discs in China for years, and have now just started making calipers there.

Brembo of course make discs and they have for over 50 years.
