GAP IID wont display on dash

Morning,

I've purchased a used GAPII from one of the Forum Members (Thanks Jordon0)

I'm desperate to get my Throttle adaptions cleared, but have somehow managed to fail at the first hurdle, because I cant get the Tool to display on the dash at all.

Its a 2003 L322 v8 - first job is to activate it, which I have to do by connecting it to the car, scrolling through the menu and getting an activation code on the dash to send to GAP. Despite trying, I plug it in, wait 30seconds and attempt to press the cruise buttons, but nothing happens. I dont see IID tool displayed - I can scroll through the error messages I have and the date/time/consumption and all that with the press of the stalk, but nothing else.

Theres no reason to believe that my cruise button dont work - when I press the buttons to turn the cruise on the dash light flashes, and cruise always worked flawlessly before.

I'm probably being a bit dim, and I'm prepared for a lot of rolling eyes, but has anyone got a an idea what might be wrong?

Cheers

Firstly, have you created a new user account? Followed the guidance on the Gap User Manual - page 31 onwards?

If you haven't already got it, the manual is on the Gap website. John

sorry that it isn't displaying
the last comment asked about our car it was a 2008 tdv8 so this may have something to do with it!

Thanks all.

I've emailed Pat and he's had me update the firmware to support the earlier vehicle, but its still not working on the dash, so we'll see what he comes back with next.

My feeling is that it still needs coding to work with my car - hopefully that can be rectified.
