Prepare for anything, Sandy. Weather here has been poor this year. You will be right on the Atlantic coast.

For a good micro climate and seaside the Charente Maritime comes high on the list. Not the area you are looking at though. John

We have looked in the Charente area and we quite like La Rochelle and the islands my fear is the flooding we live with the thames at the bottom of the garden and get flooded every now and then but not thankfully in the house it is also great having the boat at the bottom of the garden who knows where we will end up |

Stopped on the il de re for a number of years and loved it just off La Rochelle and a cracking place to stay with some great places. Traveled a lot and the only place I would go back to |

Was that the trip with 48 speeding tickets On the weather, inland can be very cold in winter whereas some protection from the sea . Ditto in summer a wee hot inland and sea breezes perhaps. Need local knowledge Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc He who dies with the most toys wins... |
