Probably the right engine if it’s the 2.2. Not the early ingenium unit.

I vaguely remember seeing some post from C-T-Craig about DS's and about what to look out for, I may be wrong.

Freelander2 is a much better solution in my mind.

We had a MY17 DSport from new, great car but fuel dilution is the worst, buy a petrol.

A late model Freelander 2 with good spec is what I’d consider in your position. I had a 2.2 SD4 HSE from new in 2011. Well made, usable load space and apart from one minor software gremlin dealt wit under warranty, it was faultless. I think the later ones with good spec were badged as ‘Metropolis’ and had loads of kit. The 2.2 engine is bombproof |

Google the current issue with steering rack bolt failure in early Evoque sand discovery sports up to about 2017 models. JLR are replacing foc but with long waits for parts etc. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

Same here, in fact, we do have one too, fully loaded and autoboox, and it's been great. That's our second FL2 and we would not change it for a Disco Sport as it doesn't bring much more. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l Current RANGE ROVER Vogue 4.4L SDV8 - 2013 - Indus Silver, on Almond. A friend of ours ran an earlyish Disco Sport for quite a while and raved about it, and he's a proper car guy.
