I am struggling here…

02-06 it’s pretty obvious Delphi / BWI made the struts.

But for the 07+ 4.2 petrol I’m ringing around and being told Dunlop were the original Manufacturer for LR?

Is this the case most supplier telling me this, one is offering BWI and they are actually a tenner cheaper so stuck with what to do …

I’ve a feeling they changed suppliers for a bit. Put Delphi ones on when I had my 2003 car….

ur20v : I thought Bilstein only made the rear dampers ?
The front dampers for all years are gas filled Twin Tube design according to the Workshop Manuals.
The Workshop Manuals state the rears are made by Bilstein - but don't say who makes the fronts.
I don't think Bilstein have made Twin Tube Designs - ONLY Mono-tube Paul,

I had a front done on an 08MY TDV8 and it was a Dunlop.

BWI for the adaptive ones 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)
2005 4.8iS X5, blue/black
2011 4.4 tdv8, black/black (gone)
2003 3.0d X5, Oxford green/black/manual
2021 p575 SVR, BR green/vintage tan

My 07 supercharged had Delphi fronts
Replaced with BWI from Island 4x4 07 4.2 Supercharged

I just checked how obvious the sticker was - it’s bloody obvious 😂 Delphi 2007 they both say and at 120k and 14 years I imagine that where my bouncing and knocking is from as everything else underneath is nearly new Current stable:
