Spain 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Baltic Blue
Westie's gone a bit gangster.

Good evening all,

My partner dared me to share these pics on the forum! Here goes...

I've two sets of 20" alloys for our Westminster, normally I run her on the factory-fitted Supercharged shadow chrome-look wheels (Style 12)

For her ITV (MOT) next month, I knew I needed to fit at least two new tyres. So I thought I'd fit the spare set (Style 18 or 19, can't tell because they were re-painted by the last owner in normal silver vs the diamond turned finish or shadow chrome paint) With nearly new tyres.

So anyway, Westie's gone gangster...personally I love it. It made the car feel a lot younger, and me!

I also took the chance to change the Noble silver/chrome mirror caps back to Baltic blue.

The next job will be to have the callipers paint in either a gunmetal grey or a similar silver to the Noble silver trim already on the car.

...oh, and to ditch the mudflaps.

-Tom.

Looks really nice mate.

Personally I always say the drug dealer tint style only works with certain colours of cars body and wheels but I think you've done it just right

Looks good, this is one 'Gangsta' look I like, I'd call it the classy gangster look. Bow down

If you are repainting the calipers, why not paint them in Baltic Blue, that would look really good, and definitely different from the herd Thumbs Up

I don’t like wheels that dark. Makes them disappear. Seems a bit of a waste of alloy, might as well had steel wheels and painted them black….

Just my £2.58 worth 🤣

Think shadow chrome is the darkest I’d go, but it does have a cohesive look…. Range Rover Sport next then 🤣🤣.

i agree with Mark, black wheels do indeed look 'lost',

heres my L405 when i first got it ,

and when i changed the wheels,

the best wheels for dark FF's have to be these,

Gangsta look sounds a lot better than what my work mates call mine. Always referred to as the pimpmobile Laughing

Thanks for the appreciation, gang.

I wouldn't have painted these alloys unless I had another set to switch between, as and when I feel like it. I would not want black ones 100% of the time.

For the other set, I don't think it's going to be an easy job to have them restored to the factory shadow chrome paint finish locally. As they are very chome-like anyway, I am considering speaking with a local chrome-plating company to see what it would cost to have all 4 wheels fully chromed.
