Air suspension woes

Seems 9 or 10 years have passed since L322 stopped rolling off the production line
And some problems visit several owners at the same time

Last week I also had the extended height problem.
Which soon became a car on its bumps problem.
Compressor works fine....I can hear an obvious hiss from driver side front wheel, sounds like a leak.
Probably a new air spring / bag required.

I did check the compressor and although it was working, the exhaust valve was blocked. So drilled it.
I saw there was also an air suspension intake filter, it is behind the trim access panel on the LH side when you open the tailgate.
Any one changed one of these?
I am guessing that after 10 years of not being changed it could be really grubby / in need of a change.
And if I put a new drier on the compressor, manual says I need to install a relay but gives no details on the relay and what this entails,
Anyone have more information please?
