I didn't know whether to post this here, or in the caravanning bit for the experts there to have a look at. I have always taken the view that by putting bikes on a rack (4) that sits on the towbar (deployable) I needn't worry about nose weights. However someone (with a lesser car) has suggested that it might not be the case and I should worry. I only occasionally take 4 bikes but the all up weight may be as much as 200lbs (assuming all e-bikes) - should I worry after all its a bike rack not a caravan. I have looked at the manual but am easily confused Geoff |

Actually I stand corrected there are nose weight limits, in the EU its 150kgs or outside the EU is 200kg (deployable), the manual says towbar accessories are limited to 66.8Kgs (I have no idea why that number is lower than the nose weight of a trailer)? 2021 L405 Vogue D300

it seems I am OK at a mere 200lbs on the rack, assuming the rack itself weighs 20lbs. If it were 200kg I might have to watch it. Geoff |
