Confused about roof rail options

Chaps, I'm tying myself in knots staring at the roof of my 2011 VSE. I want to put some bars up on it for roof loads which could run the whole gamut from bikes / boxes / SUPs / planks / Christmas trees, and I can't seem to clear up the pros and cons of the different options:

Thule bars (or similar) of some sort that just clamp on?

OEM-style rails and bars from the likes of PowerfulUK

Ebay (shudder) Parttech roof rails like 80's rails -

Would appreciate any thoughts on lobbing loads up that high and advantages or disadvantages from those who've lived with each option. My inclination is to the "proper" OEM ones as I think they look tidy, but with no experience to back that up!

The reality is I want to paint the car orange and fit an expedition rack but…

I think in an ideal world a Voyager low profile would be the way to go but they're monumental money and I can't seem to find them in the EU, let alone the UK.

Don't think there is much between any of them, the loading is max 100kg IIRC.... No worries about raising the COG on a fatty that weighs 2 3/4 tons though...

Depends which one you like and how much money you have...

I think Cam Tech Craig has some second hand genuine ones which would be my choice, they are like hens teeth so aren't cheap though... Thumbs Up Pete
