head unit/ touch screen /RSE problem HELP.

06 MY 4.2 SC before we start I don't even know what Most stands for so bear with me, very recently it appeared as though the the radio was losing its signal intermitantly then when this was happening the power light 0n the head unit would flash and the symbols for radio cd aux and rse would high light grey . At present the symbol for the RSE has gone of the screen completely and the intermitant connection when radio and cd are really annoying . Am I clutching at straws thinking this may be as simple as a bad connection on the rse module , I've got a four hour drive coming up and the only thing that keeps my autistic son happy is the RSE ! any help would be great am I right in thinking the RSE module is under the F/ passenger seat. Range rover 4.2 SC 06MY.

UPDATE I had all the units out of near side rear compartment yesterday and every thing was covered in dust/ flithy so disconnected every thing and a good clean checked all the connectors ( all appeared ok ) and refitted , started up and the icon for the RSE was there briefly flashed twice and dissappeared again, any ideas where I should be looking /checking as it would appear to me there is obviously a dodgy connection some where Sad Range rover 4.2 SC 06MY.

I'd try that procedure again ..maybe a more vigilant clean and connection check....

then try a battery reboot...i gather the battery's ok?. ... - .- -.

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

I know it’s a 2010 car covered by the info here.

https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic57363.html?highlight=rse

I don’t have any info for the early Ford based cars I’m afraid.

The RSE module looks like it’s not getting any power, So not identifying itself on that network you don’t know about....
