L322 Common Air Conditioning Leak Areas ?

Hi all,

So having issue air con

Basically started blowing hot air, but not had it refilled in ages so thought was just low. had it regassed and pressure tested come back fine.

lasted about 3 months and slowly got hotter, this was end last year but as not been doing alot miles just left it.

So I have a slow leak, now garage I use is back booked 5/6weeks and some Googling seems the air-conditioning condenser is a common leak zone.

I can replace this myself as there a lovely written guide on this website but before taking a chance on it being the condenser anywhere else I can have look or is there any more common areas they leak on the L322 ?

thanks alot 2003 Range Rover 4.4 Litre V8 - Adriatic blue

Best advice would be to take it in to garage that included die when recharging and they should be able to trace with UV light leak, previously mine had pin hole leak in a pipe that can either be replaced or clamped.

Just to add, pressure testing will not show up slow leak.

So I replaced my Air Con condenser yesterday, As looked like oil from AC from lower bottom.

Had Kwik Fit re-gas the Aircon today and nothing flagged issue, Pressured tested for longer then normal as asked them too.

they added 2ml UV die incase, something else leaks and 10ml AC Oil think they said.

Freezing cold AC so hopefully thats it sorted for a while. Cheap AC Condenser from autoairconparts and next day delivery for £67 ! cannot say fairer than that Smile

when got home used two cans of air-conditioner sanitiser Smile run that through the system for 10mins. 2003 Range Rover 4.4 Litre V8 - Adriatic blue
