Service Required Reset

I was getting the service required message (irritating) so I changed the oil. I still get the message so I'm still irritated I've seen on you tube that I don't even need to break out my IDTool and its just bonnet and door open with ignition on and press down brake and accelerator together and then Roberts your mothers brother - is this the case? Geoff
