My money is on heat from the exhaust distorting the view slightly.

I think it's legit.

If you look at the front wheel at the end of the movie when he turns the steering you can clearly see they are completely filled with the mud. It's that 'orrible sticky type that once it's in the tread, there's nothing you can do.
With the weight of the FFRR it's never going to go anywhere with road tyres on that kind of surface.

That's why he needs to switch the DSC off and give it the beans.
Get the wheels spinning fast enough and they may just start to clean the treads...

I ain't so sure about rope, but the front of car looks ever so slighty higher than the back if you look at wheel arches. This maybe indicates additional weight on the rear of the car?? FFRR TD6 HSE

I did a LR Experience day recently and the instructor mentioned more than once how you should avoid 'green ice' as even the RR will get stuck unless you are very lucky...
