The LH turbo recently failed on my 3.6 TDV8 and it is with the mechanic to be replaced.

Doing both the LH & RH Turbos.

Now, the hardest bit -- getting them removed.

Anyone have any advice for the easiest way to achieve this?

I've downloaded the LR manual from this site, which offers a procedure on how to do this, but I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or advice to get this done quicker or perhaps easier than how the manual describes?

On my previous 3.6 TDV8 the EGR let go and took the engine with it, thus resulting in me having to rebuild it. Hopefully this engine is OK!
