Should the the rear discs be vented or solid on a 2006 td6?

For the mot in January I had to have rear discs & pads so I got these fitted at a local garage along with handbrake shoes.
Last week handbrake started to feel “funny “ couldn’t get car into garage who had fitted rear discs & pads so traveled to old forge garage in Lincoln who are a Landrover specialist.
So they diagnosed the problem as incorrect rear discs and fitted new vented discs and pads.
I’ve contacted the first garage explaining all this but haven’t had a reply as yet. I’ve googled it but can’t get a definitive answer

Have just been out and had a look at my old 55 plate TD6 ( my neighbour now conveniently owns it! ) and it has definitely got vented discs all round

I replaced all my bits with Pagid spares, the rear discs I fitted are vented, the old ones I removed were vented, but I do not know if the ones I removed were originals, but I suspect they were.

Strange, just looked at the Euro car spares site which is usually accurate and for Pagid discs, there are two choices, one solid, one vented.

Interesting, my Td6 has solid discs at the rear which l fitted. The originals were also solid. The rear callipers on mine don't have enough room to fit vented discs.

Mine is a 2006 facelift, maybe around that time they changed from solid to vented. Hence the choice I found?

My 2003 has solid discs 2003 4.4 V8 Vogue. Oslo Blue.
2003 TD6 SE, Adriatic Blue, no sunroof, no heated seats, but I did love it.

I think the early ones had solid and 2006 on were vented
