TD6 transfer case nut

Hi all,
Am trying to change oil in transfer case( td6).
Can get fill plug undone, but empty plug is being a Censored to undo. Big Cry
Have tried with spanners ( 5/8 and 16mm) both start to round the plug, dont wont that.
Cant get a socket with rachet on it because of the protection pipe being in the way. Evil or Very Mad

So any hints as to how I can undo the nut so I can change the transfer fluid most welcome.
TIA

Are you certain it is 16mm? Do you have a six sided ring spanner ?

Last resort, if you have a nut / bolt removal kit, try that ?

Or last last resort hammer and cold chisel to get it moving .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

As in the above post, 6 point spanner plus it may be worth trying one of the 'Freeze off' type sprays, may help.
