United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
Coolent leak

I have a 2013 404D Vogue.

It started loosing fluid and has got progressively worse .

Absolutely no signs of a leak.

Oil and coolant clear no drips or exhaust steam, start up fine, idle good engine smooth and powerful. Temp gauge sits at normal.

Coolant no loss on long idle temp on normal.

on the road 1ltr about 2 miles. disappears

My feeling is such a heavy coolant loss would give some tell-tale signs engine wise.

I have been told that the coolant is used on the turbo's or EGR valve?

Any members care to share their knowledge or suggestion or maybe had similar experience.

My car was losing around 1 litre every 1000 miles, there was no trace of a leak under the car or on any of the under trays. You could definitely smell coolant outside of the car after a long run. A couple of members suggested that it could be that the coolant is being burnt off before it got chance to run down.

Mine had the Thermostat housing replaced twice but the LR dealer then couldn't or wouldn't do anymore to help. It could be thermostat housing, EGR, Oil Cooler, pipe work.

Either of the 2 Indy's posted should be able to help you, they're Indy's and their business model is fixing them not selling new shiney ones, which sadly, is all the Main Agents/Dealers want to do. Unfortunately in Kent/Sussex the quality of dealers isn't that great, I've tried them all over the years.
