Drivetrain noise on take off TDV8 3.6

Strange one this - rubbing noise heard on pulling away, hard initial acceleration and it's louder, gentle less so but it's still there, also heard it lightly when going over rough road surfaces sometimes - all other times no noise just normal service. Fairly sure it's not a brake noise as it's not constant or speed related. Was mildly greenlaning yesterday and low range and HDC all work as expected to.

Will be putting in a call to the AA to seek their techs opinion? More on this story, later. Thumbs Up

That nice man at the AA is very busy indeed! Visit arranged for tomorrow morning which is mutually convenient. Thumbs Up

It's not the heatshield over the propshaft by any chance? I hit some standing water once and bent it out of shape and it started making a rubbing noise on take off. Had to bend it back out of the way. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Funny you should say that. I hit some standing water last week and the noise appeared shortly after, so it could well be the culprit?
