Just thought I would share, some before and after pics of my detail. I am not a professional detailer. Below is a list of the products used and sequence.

Basic Wash, with washing up liquid to remove all contaminants
Tardis tar remover sprayed and rinised.
Iron X fallout remover spayed and rinsed
Bilt Hamber Clay Bar used with ONR spray
Washed again.
Alloy wheels washed, used bilberry wheel cleaner, and Bilt Hamber Surfex HD
All Arches washed with brushes and Bilt Hamber Surfex HD
Dual Action polisher used with Scholl pads and Koch Chemie H8 Compound
Had to hit each panel twice, due to level of swirls and spider webbing on paint.
Finishing polish with Scholl pads again with Koch Chemie M2
Final Protection applied was Turtle Wax Graphene Coating.

Interior work:

Used Gyeon leather cleaner on all leathers, and Sealed with Gyeon Leather Shiels.
All other interior surfaces dressed with 303 Protectant.

I’m psyching myself up to do our Westie, so it’s good to see what products you used to get that result. I’ve tried a couple of times to buy a bunch of products but get totally bamboozled by the immense choice and end up just closing the laptop lid  2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster - Baltic Blue, Jet interior
1997 P38 2.5 DSE auto & 1998 P38 2.5 DT Manual
1988 Vogue 3.5 EFI - Manual, gone.
2004 Volvo C70 2.0T convertible, had since new.
2007 Mazda MX-5 2.0 Sport Roadster/Coupé, had since new.
2024 Mini Cooper S cabrio, JCW kit, 2.0, DCT auto

Brilliant result, and very nice photography.

Methinks you forgot to list one vital detailing ingredient.... Elbowgrease lots of it!!!

I looked at the photos and though “that looks terrible!”… before realising they were the before photos!!! Really should read the text properly!!!

You’ve done a damned good job on the car. Well done!

It’s on my list of things to so. I’ve started with the proper clean for now, but will clay bar and treat in the coming month. Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

The 2nd photo of the "after" work is the best, I thought to myself "why has that lemon taken a shot of an estate car & a couple of buckets?".........then realised it was the reflection from the panel, nice work sir, pat yourself on your back!  2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

I did exactly the same - when I twigged I was so impressed I forced the wife to have a look too, she did point out that I wouldn’t be patient enough to spend 22 hours doing the same to mine. She’s probably right. Great effort though  2012 L322 TDV8 Vogue SE: Buckingham Blue
