Maybe not, you may find yours lands around the same time. I was told that the 360 Camera and ACC on the AB were on back order. As the cars now have build slots, it would suggest those parts are no longer in short supply.

Just had a really interesting chat to a friend who is deputy for BMW (Motorsport Division). The shortages throughout the motor industry are due to semi conductors, so things like HUD and lumbar support etc are all being hit.

His colleague who is head of BMW China, sold 1million cars in 2020/1 out of a worldwide sales of 2.3million vehicles, so that is why there is a long lead time in UK. They gave us Covid in exchange!!! Should have said also, he doesn't think there will be much improvement on supplies to the automotive industry for about 12 months!

Another little titbit....BMW lose over 3000 euros on EVERY i3 they sell! They must make a helluva lot on the other cars then! All LR cars from 1984

I'm guessing, but I suspect the i3 is something BMW lose money on in order to keep their CO2 emissions down on all vehicles sold, overall as a group.

As for my FFRR order, it was placed in late April, 5.0 Supercharged, AB LWB, with HUD - Still no build slot yet, still no delivery date!!

I think perhaps I need to think about removing it Chalky, or risk being forced to take the new model. The result could then be, not getting the interior I want if there are only limited spec / trim choices on the L460.

Will give it some thought tomorrow and maybe speak with the dealer.

Likewise supershuttle....... I have one on order in Aruba / Ivory (hopefully delivery will reach me in November). I had to spec privacy glass as the car's primary purpose is to travel down through Europe with the dogs in the back, so it's job is to hopefully protect them from the sun. Otherwise, i wouldn't have spec'd it!

I have however chosen to add the silver atlas accents, I think in Aruba, it complements the colour nicely and ties in well with the gloss silver alloys and other silver elements. I'll post some photos, if it ever arrives!!!!!
