The reason they do it nowadays is because they don’t need to redesign the entire dash fascia when they do a LCI. |

I agree...... To my eye it just looks more polished and orderly by being integrated.

I don’t agree with that. First thing I noticed when I set eyes on the L405 was the rotary shifter popping up when the car was turned on. It felt so futuristic and cool. Like I was getting into a spaceship and it recognized I was ready to drive off. Super cool in 2014. Im certain I wasn’t the only one who thought this. These little touches is what separated it from the crowd. So now that’s gone plus the tailored looking dash with the built in unit. 2 steps back IMO 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

CCTV and remote parking sound good, both straight of the Tesla’s. I’m not even sure what a couple of those options are though 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

Yeah, I take back what I say about the new lever being an improvement, that does look a bit cheap in the video |

I had remote parking on my 7 series (controlled from outside the car by the display key) and it was brilliant. Admittedly the most use it got was moving the car backwards/forwards when cleaning the wheels, but I did use it a few times to pull the car our of a space when someone had parked too close to the drivers door.
