I think that space is used for the HDD for sat nav (or DVD on older models) and bottom section for a 6 DVD changer for films in the back seats?

Off the top of my head, the HDD for the sat nav is a large black box to the right of the picture, just out of shot. Apart from having been designed by a child in the 1980's mine is at least working so I don't think it's that that's missing.

Mine (2012) looks like this, I have no idea what that is though and I can't see any writing on it....

Thanks! I'll have a sweep of L322 modules on eBay and see if I can find something that looks the same... |

For reference, Mine has factory rear screen entertainment, hence the DVD changer....

So by looking at the below, I’m thinking you are missing the TV tuner?

Great - thanks! Not sure how I've never stumbled on that diagram before but it's very useful. And I'm certain it's the TV tuner that's missing. The missing tuner looks suspiciously like this one, which does have 5 connections to explain the unplugged cables, although I'm not sure how the green square one fits in... |

The Workshop manual is available foe download in the Wiki. That’s where the diagrams are.

Thanks for all the help! I think we can safely say I'm missing the TV tuner and from what I can work out it's part number AH42-19C063-AE. That's an eBay job to go on the list then. Still no clearer on where the squarish green plug would go as it doesn't seem to fit into that module. For now I'll just pretend it doesn't exist... |

Hi all.. I’m new to the group and just about to pick up my new 2011 4.4 Autobiography on Monday (deposit down) 🤩🤩.. have a quick related question.. the car I’m about to buy also has a similar gap in the module bay and the head unit deffo says DVD on the controls.. I assume this means that it has been removed, rather than it not being an originally included option ?? Thx for any responses.. if it is ‘missing’ then I will deffo haggle the price down accordingly.. any ideas on replacement costs???? |

The DVD changer only came in vehicles that had the Rear Seat Entertainment ("RSE") package installed, i.e. with the screens in the back of the front headrests.

Agree with the above. Will say DVD on the head unit button, even if DVD not fitted.
