I used Quattro Autocare near York to do mine. Had bad experience at JAS, although a lot of people recommend them. |

Ref your tyres scrubbing, get a proper 4x4 wheel alignment done on a hunter machine. Not too expensive but makes the steering and general drive so much nicer!

Totally agree with Rob99. All the Conti's I've had on our Mercedes-AMG cars made the shoulders go bold in no time Sadly there were no other tyres in their official sizes at the time. Towards the end of our ownership we managed to get some Pirelli's for it and I much preferred the wear on those.

The four wheel alignment was done when previous owner had the front tyres fitted six weeks ago, I have noticed front offside suspension goes down overnight, but rises again in seconds, so must be a small leak somewhere. Going to change engine and diff oils, will have to wait for gearbox flush till we travel south again in a couple of months. |

What oil does everyone recommend, just looked on opie site and they say the Castrol sLx is no longer available, and gave me a list of suitable oils. They quoted Ford specs, so as long as it meets the recommended specs are they all ok or is one brand favoured over others, horses for courses I know, but after running 2/300 tdi engines it’s a minefield. |
