Madness..... Just madness......

So, in a state of madness I bought a 1998 Defender.

After driving it back from Yorkshire I understand why I like Range Rovers so much........ Rolling with laughter

Very Happy Nice defender....

Not exactly the relaxed, comfortable wafty ride of a Full Fat... but definitely not without a certain charm

Bonus points if you can drive it without the drivers window wound down and without destroying your elbow.... Laughing Andrew.

Absolutely lovely but could never own one.
It’s like when you see cars on the road and think

Defender - they’re all smiling but it’s probably bad backs.
Mercedes SLK - sunning away, but a boot full of water

It’s a game we play.....I’ll get my coat. visiting from www.rrsport.co.uk

Hmmmmm……. This is the first Defender I have ever owned and it is not a vehicle to drive long distances.

It’s a 1998 300 Tdi and appears to be happy on the motorway at around 60mph and 40mph around country lanes. Bits for it are cheap and it’s relatively easy to work on.

Will I keep it? Certainly for the summer…
