Move from 4.4 diesel to hybrid

I don’t post here very often but wanted to share my delight with the hybrid. I have always loved the 4.4TDV8 in both the L322 and L405. I have just changed my 2016 LWB for a 2019 P400e LWB - not only is the tech much improved I am really enjoying the near silent short journeys on electric only but when the engine kicks in, it’s very quiet and smooth. I have found the suspension much softer than the other one and it’s much more cushioned over bumps.

I imagine there might have been faults and glitches when new for the first owner, but 18 months on it is a delight.

Lovely.

How on earth do you park anywhere in the LWB though, I struggle in the SWB.

Lovely specs, both in fact.

If you don't mind me asking, and this goes to other LWB owners, Could you tell me what made you go for LWB if it is for private use, not chauffeuring customers? I've wondered why private individuals were getting them, new or used.

It’s fine to park with the cameras - although there is auto parking
I don’t use it.

I got the LWB for family holidays - we usually drive to Spain or Austria with the in-laws. They will have lots of space in the back for the long haul - although I got the 2016 just before lockdown and we are unlikely to go on a European trip until next summer now. 2005 L322 Vogue Gold gone

Both stunning cars.
If I may ask what kind of mpg were you getting in the TDV8 & now the Hybrid?
Thanks and looking forward to long term updates especially on battery life if you are regularly using it.
