Side Steps .... Aftermarket options

Hi and a Happy New Year to you all Thumbs Up

After an 'incident' before Christmas, my passenger side step has broken at the back and is bent down - a combination of rust and heavy use..

I've searched the usual places and found these cheap replacements -

or

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383447976193?mk...9rAGAAAAAA

Has anyone any experience of fitting these and the quality ? Do the holes line up, is the metal made of wafer thin steel ?

Open to other sources / secondhand pair to.

Thanks in advance. Gavin

Some hopefully useful info about this here:

Of the two options you mentioned I would probably buy the ones from LR Parts as you have an immediate part of recourse with an acknowledged and known dealer in case of an issue. Mine were from 4x4 Direct here £189.99. I would buy them again.

The pattern is the same as the OEM. the only difference were some screws vs rivets. The paint job on them was a bit thin. I live in the middle of the sea (really) and after 3 years my ones from 4x4 Direct are pristine - I painted the underside, then painted them again. and a third coat . I used Hammerite last time but I would use Raptor coating next time, it is GMC truck bed liner and I have the whole underside of my car done in it. It's great. Good luck.
