Removed from a 2007MY FFRR 4.2 SC. 3.73:1 ratio which I believe is the same as the 4.4 NA petrol RR. Part number is not on the unit but I think it is TAG500122.

Did this make any funny noises whilst on the car? Was there a reason it was removed?

I was chasing a rumble on acceleration and had a local Indy drive the vehicle to try to locate the noise. They suggested that it was more than likely to be the front diff. So that was replaced together with the drive shaft that side. Turns out it was not this but the offside front drive shaft The original diff before removal had no "funny noises".
