Boot liners

Afternoon all. Has anyone got any recommendations for a well fitted boot liner? Ideally one that covers the backs of the split rear seats and allows them to fold forward too. Must cover the tailgate and the folding bridge flap too. Want to keep my nice carpets......well, nice haha

Has anyone any experience of this one:

Similar style to this (or actually this one if people can give me confidence it's as good as what it looks)

I bought one from Premier Products Limited.

You choose the colour, whether you want split seats and whether you want tailgate cover too.

I put a pic in the what have you done in you L322 today, hoping the link below works.

Another recommendation for Custom Covers here, too - they're good for the price.

Its mostly held in place with elastic straps, button holes and strap loops, but there's a couple of places where velcro is used (sticky backed stuff supplied) - mainly for the separate tailgate piece.
I haven't used the velcro fixing or that tailgate piece (didn't want to mark the interior) but it still worked well.

With the rear seats in situ, the cover reaches up the seat backs and ties off around the head rests, with split seat folding sections.
With the seats folded and tipped forward, the cover protects the carpet (but not now up the seat backs obviously)

It's been great for dump trips and occasional use.

If you were planning on leaving it in there permanently I'd consider one of the fancier quilted ones like Flintstones has Wink

Thanks Gents. Good to know the custom covers one has a few decent reviews. I'm a bit torn on whether the fancy quilted one is worth the extra £100 or not? Tough to call without having seen them both. Guessing they're a bit of a faff to install and take out so yeah would likely leave it in once it's in to be honest

Has anyone had the pleasure of seeing both in the flesh and has an opinion on whether it's worth spending the extra or not?

Our car was used for / to refine the template for Premier Products, that’s our dog trixie in the picture.

It was good because you could still get to things like the 12v socket.

After 5 years it still looked like new, we never removed it just occasionally wiped it down Thumbs Up

I have a genuine LR one in the L405 and honestly it’s not as good as the Premier Products one and cost considerable more! Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I haven't taken it out as i dont have a need to. But it was very easy to fit, took about 10 minutes, half of which was me unfolding it and getting in the boot really!

Cleans up easily, still got access to everything. The only thing i did have to do was make a small cut in the bottom so i could attach the hooks for the dog guard to the luggage hooks on the floor.

The drainpipes are added as i have a rescue hound that is a chewer and he successfully chewed through the 3rd row belts on my disco 3.

I would definitely buy another if we changed cars, in part as the quality of it suits the marque of the car IMHO. Never trust a skinny chef

I have used hatchbags on my cars for a number of years and found them very durable and very easy to clean. Just took delivery of one for my new car the fit is great.

The custom covers item is durable and does protect the boot area very well indeed. As mentioned the back is attached bt velcro loops that go around the headrest Arms. The sides though are affixed by velcro tape which is a big let down and isn't strong enough (we have 3 dogs), it will sag or let go. So I purchased Marine poppers and stamped these into the load cover and the male end into the car. It's now secure as a secure thing and only comes off when you want it, despite some heavy loads pulling on ot. visiting from www.rrsport.co.uk

Hatchbags also use Velcro in places I had trouble way back with one on my d3. They recommend using tar remover to get silicone off the plastic and then use the 3M tape. Never had a problem since in fact it was a struggle to remove before selling my d5. Stood up to our lab, Great Dane, GSP and giant schnauzers antics no problem. MY23 PHEV HSE
