Removing the head M62

Hi
I am trying to remove the right hand head off the M62 engine
I did read somewhere, to leave the exhaust manifold on the head and just undo the flange bolts
Trying to get to the flange bolts is another thing.
Would it be of any advantage to remove the plastic guards and the heat deflectors under the fenders, would this give me access?
I have looked through Rave but cant see ay thing.
Or should I take the manifold off and undo the flange bolts
Its not on a hoist

WS manual says to remove the manifold. (I have the genuine RAVE disc V015-2 -> 03/2003 LRL0548ENG )

It indicates one will need to unbolt the exhaust from the manifold and lower the exhaust on a jack. Then unbolt the manifold. Ron B. VK2OTC

When I did mine I unbolted the manifold and moved it out of the way to lift the head up and off. There is enough room (just) I left the exhaust in situ 👍
