Parallel wire to Starter solenoid switch

Hi

I’ve been having starting no crank and click issues on my
2008 TDV8 for a while , it’s had batteries , starters , etc , I decided to look at this myself ,
Long story short , I wired in a push button to the starter which works every time !
So I would like to run a parallel wire from the engine fuse box ,starter circuit , I’ve found a similar thread
Where they are tapping into the starter trigger wire which exits from the under bonnet fuse box

My question is which one is it 😀
I have attached an image of my fuse box and wires , or if you can guide me to a diagram
As I can’t find anything online

Thanks
Ian

Are far as I can work out, you would need to intercept the wire from the Engine control unit to the relay.

Plug C0572, Pins 19 (Black/Yellow) and 25 (Red/Blue), I would assume one is earth and the other is energised by the ECU to call the relay

No warranty implied or given! use this info at your own risk Wink

(Of course, it might be the relay which is causing the problem?) 2010 3.6 TDV8

RRYORKS

thanks for this I really appreciate the effort .
From your Diagram , it’s relay 6 , will check this myself
And the trigger or signal wire don’t know the terminology 😀 is on connector C571 red and black wire , I’ve attached an image of my fuse box with the wire I would splice another in to run to solenoid switch /trigger on starter motor

I will trace this wire back to the starter solenoid to make sure it’s the one I’m after , it would normally go to the garage
But I’m not having a 4th starter motor fitted , I measured the voltage at the starter solenoid switch/trigger wire and it was 9V
I wired in a push button start and that activates the solenoid every time 12.4 V when activated ,
Battery seems ok at 14.2 V when running ,
Kind Regards
Ian
