2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Causeway Grey

Random Filter - Is this correct?

Finally lifted the bonnet of my 2004 TD6. Probably the cleanest engine bay of any car I’ve owned, yet alone one that is 17 years old.

My question is what is this random filter and should it be connected to anything?

No, it’s the breather for the transmission or something like that.

It’s fine as is.....
