Trans Oil Temp

So just finishing off a transmission oil and filter change.

Gap IID says 54 degrees after filling the sump and going through the gearshift process.

Infrared Temp Gun on the Sump says 41 degrees.

I guess with the temp sensor being in the middle of the valve block then it may be sensing the residual heat from when I drove the car earlier to get it up to temp before draining the oil....

Went with the IR gun on the sump method as a ZF service video showed this.
