L322 Key Shell repair?

The case of my 2012 FFRR key is falling apart (see pics). Last year I replaced the case (with P/N LR052905) now the rubber layer of the new case again started to loosen.

I use the car seldom, so the key is hardly used, yet the shell is falling apart even after one year! Chinese quality?

Is there a trick to repair it? Gluing it was not possible. Do I need to order a new refurbishing kit again?

Suggestions are welcome!

Rob
