2011 Vibration Problem

Hello

Long time lurker. I have noticed on motorway trips a problem with my TDV8 4.4 MY11.5 AB. When travelling at quite high speeds (motorway speeds), I notice a vibration from around the centre tunnel where the gear selector is. It sounds like a droning vibration sound...quite persistent...like a phone vibration. Obviously I have checked my phone and it isn't that. Happened once or twice now. No warning lights on or anything and the car drives fine ATM.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?

Thank you.

AB

PS: The car has the standard 20" Autobiography wheels.

Get the dealer to take it out for a run and then get it sorted. Many Range Rovers have various vibration problems but a new 2011 model should not have any Shocked

It went away...and now it's back. Around 70mph and feels like it's braking almost which I'm perhaps thinking is a brake sticking? Coming from underneath the gear rotary selector area.

Will be speaking to the dealer. Any ideas in the mean time?

Thanks Smile

had a similar problem on a disco, took ages to find it, it actually was a loose skid plate/under body protection cover, was expecting a big bill, 2010 defender utility

I had a noise once that I tracked back to some of the crap I keep in cubbyhole boxes etc. Try emptying the car of all stuff and check again.

We seem to hear quite a number of MY11 problems, does make me wonder if there is a whole bunch of new stuff they're testing in time for the new model in 2013. Discovery 4 HSE

Thanks for the feedback RRUK and bear100 Smile I will try these.

Tell me about it...batteries...electronics...vibrations. I will not be buying a new model for a few years at this rate - the problems on a basically 2002 design still haven't been sorted!
