Engine System Fault message

(thread title edited by RRUK)

My tdv8 is telling me "engine system fault" an the boOk says it's serious !

The warning is only on tick over, no loss of power and no smoke. To be fair it was slightly slow to pick up off a roundabout! Amy ideas ? 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE

Some of the faults will be able to be picked up by EOBD kit but any of the modules beyond that will miss info.

I'd hazard a guess that if its thrown up a light on the dash its likely the EOBD would give at least a fault code to work from so its work a punt. 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

Its not throwning on any lights, just a warning message.

Had it pluged in and no fault codes stored, on a live run test its saying low pressure to actuator. Car seams fiine when reving so im hopeing its split pipe. Anyone else had it ? 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE

as mentioned above, you need a fault code to identify the problem otherwise its just guesswork... ... - .- -.

As stated there is no fault code in the ecu, i had it checked again last night from an non land rover garage. there is no fault code and no light on dash just the warning message. There is a live test error saying low pressure to actuator. 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE
